WHY GOLF?
Unlike other sports, you don't have to be big, strong, fast, or part of a team to be successful at it. Golf is a feel-good sport and a stimulating challenge for body and mind.
Golf clubs can be great for your social life, where you can meet many people of all ages and make many new friends. You can play golf with other people or alone, but always at a time that suits you. Golf courses are always wonderful places to walk and make the most of nature.
Golf is not only enjoyable, but also a healthy pastime as you walk about 8 kilometers per round. Golf can be a very relaxing hobby. It frees the spirit and adds balance to your life. People working in golf clubs are always very friendly and helpful and good at understanding your needs.
It is possible to play golf at almost every golf course you see on TV and there is certainly a course close to every holiday destination.
If you ask, most people will say they wish they had started playing golf sooner.
HOW CAN I BEGIN?
Check the internet to find out where the local golf courses.
It is best to play where your friends play and/or where it is easiest to get to from your home or work. Fix a visit and ask for a tour of the premises. You can see if you like the atmosphere in the club.
The golf club will always have hire clubs to rent if you wish to hit some balls on the range. The best option though, if you think you would like to start to learn about golf, is to register for a ‘Schnupper Course’, to learn the basics. This would be normally at the weekend and last for between 1 to 2 hours. All clubs and balls will be supplied, as well as the trainer, for a nominal fee.
If this sparks your interest in golf, then the ‘Club License’ course is waiting for you, to prepare you to play on the golf course. This is in a group of between 4 and 8 people, training with a golf professional for between 10 and 15 hours, over a 2-to-4-week period.
Training privately with a golf pro, to obtain the ‘Club License’, is always an option too.
Yours,
PAUL HUNT

I have had a number of trainers during my 15 year golf career and Paul has certainly been the most impressive. His main strength is his highly individualised attention to each of his pupils. His other strengths include a very pleasant personality which puts the pupil at ease, this resulting in a relaxed and tension free lesson.

Paul Hunt has been my Pro since I have started learning Golf in 2005. I like his working style very much. Therefore I decided to follow him from my golf club Tuttendörfl to GC Föhrenwald, to continue with him. I have handicap 19.6. He is not "playing the expert" while the student is the silly pupil, not at all, he is working as a coach.
